JOHN CARROLL (“Baby Blue”) was born and raised in Philadelphia, lives in the East Passyunk Crossing area, and works at the Kelly Writer’s House. He graduated from the University of Pennsylvania in 2005 with a BA in English. John has been the arts and culture editor for Philadelphia’s Evening Bulletin and his work has appeared in theBattered Suitcase, 34th Street Magazine, and Dragonfire, as well as the websites Phillyist and CHUD. In 2006 John won the Kelly Writer’s House Junior Fellows Award, which funded his yearlong experimental mail project, A Place to Stand Productions.
